CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

MANTRA VOICE - integration, alignment, power

Experience your voice as a fully embodied, vibratory channel for relaxing, energizing and uplifting your body and spirit! This class strengthens the entire vocal system, starting with a review of the basics of diaphragm strength and vocal relaxation and then employing mantra and chanting to integrate fundamental techniques, diaphragmatic breathing and vagal toning.

VOICE FUNDAMENTALS - diaphragm, strength, energizing

In this class we focus on building a deeper rapport with our voices and the body systems that support the voice. Specific attention is paid to connecting with the diaphragm, as well as breathing and sound techniques that strengthen and tone the entire vocal system.

VAGUS NERVE VOCAL TONING - relaxing, nurturing, healing

The vagus nerve is the longest nerve in the body and connects to the heart, lungs, stomach, intestines and more. The vagus nerve is a key component of the parasympathetic nervous system and influences breathing, digestive function, heart rate, and mental health. This voice class focuses on relaxing the voice and practicing sounds and breathing techniques that increase vagal tone and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which both increases the fluidity of our singing and makes use of the voice as a tool for relaxation and stress management.
